Coach Trey Brocksen Scharlin, Owner and Head Trainer and CEO of Deft Touch Soccer Center Franchising LLC.
Owner and Director of Deft Touch Soccer Center Franchising LLC Trey Brocksen Scharlin has an extensive background in coaching for over 25 years and has also played soccer for more than 40 years.
For the past 15 years Trey has been the owner and Head Trainer at Deft Touch Soccer Center where he has developed the comprehensive training program The Deft Touch Method, that focuses on the individual technical development of today’s modern player. Trey has worked with both men and women’s World Cup participants, Collegiate National Champions, ECNL National Champions, and hundreds of other athletes who have competed at every level.
In addition to his training at DTSC, he coached for several clubs in the Southern California area, spending 7 years as President and Director of Coaching for Beach Football Club. Trey also coached for 5 years for the Irvine Strikers FC U16 and U18 (ECNL) Elite Club National League teams and Boys Pre-Academy. Additionally, he has also coached various levels at FC Premier and CDA Slammers before stepping away from club soccer to focus on the Development Deft Touch Soccer Center Franchise in 2020. Trey also served as the Head Coach for the iSoccer Star team, which is a part of the One Shot One Dream group that travels to Europe every summer to showcase young American players in hopes of signing professional soccer contracts. One Shot One Dream has been instrumental in signing several players to their first professional contract in Germany, Croatia, Montenegro, Philippines and other countries.
As a Head Coach at the High School level he coached at Los Alamitos where he was named the back to back Sunset League Coach of the Year (2001-2002), CIF Coach of the Year (2002), LA Times Coach of the Year (2002) and AAF Coach of the Year (2002). Trey has also served as the Southern High School All Star team Head Coach.
At the college level, he served as the Head Asst. Men’s Soccer Coach at Long Beach City College for three years. After leaving LBCC he went on to serve as Co- Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Cerritos College for one year before moving to Santa Ana College for three years where Trey was the Head Asst. Women’s Soccer Coach.
